Job title: Senior Software Developer.

Job Brief : BankOnUs is looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong understanding of the Web Development frameworks.

Senior Software Developer will manage the coding practices of the team, contribute individually, perform code reviews, mentor team members, and coordinate with Quality Assurance and internal stack holders to deliver high-quality code that solves important business problems.

What you’ll do?

• Designing and developing new features based on product specifications.

• Refactoring existing code to improve efficiency, extensibility, and maintainability.

• Improve and maintain existing applications and services.

• Own the entire development lifecycle from specification to deployment.

• Design, code, test, and deploy software systems.

• Work together with internal stakeholders to plan and execute sprints; ensure that the team has the appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver features effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.

• Interact with other teams to get feature requirements and develop.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production and development environments.

• Identifying and evaluating new techniques, tools, and technologies to expand the team’s capabilities.

• Respond to tickets on technical queries.

Who you are?

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in web application development, focusing on the use of Grails/Spring (or any JVM), ReactJS, MySql and Git toolset at least 4 years of which should be full-stack web application development

• 5+ years working within Amazon Web Services or similar cloud systems for development and production applications, with an emphasis on automated build and deployment, high availability and scale

• Experience with MySQL profiling and database optimization

• Professional experience with at least one Javascript application framework (e.g. React, Angular, vue, etc.)

• Professional experience designing or maintaining an automated build pipeline including elements such as compilation, modularization, web packaging, minification and automated unit testing/

• Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, such as AJAX, HTTP, HTML/XML, REST, JavaScript, CSS/SASS, etc.

• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum process environments

• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet deadlines

• Ability to work independently and manage the team in Agile environment

• Open-source community contribution (good to have)

• Experience with an online startup is a big plus.
