Role and Responsibilities

Bring onboard as many influential, powerful, and globally-recognised investors as possible for LEAP.

The goal is to bring together investors from around the world to connect, and to invest in both each other and start-up exhibitors in attendance. You will research and discover globally high-profile investors, regionally influential investors, and those investors at the forefront of the tech industry – think decarbonization and the metaverse.

You will invite, convince, and onboard an impressive cohort of investors for a program that will include an investor lounge, a dedicated investor dinner, bespoke meetings with potentially hundreds of tech start-ups from around the world, and opportunities to connect with fellow members of the investment ecosystem.

Your future KPIs will be aligned to bringing onboard the best and the brightest investors from around the world, that will help ensure LEAP has the most impressive investor program cohort in the region.

You will be bringing hundreds of world class, regionally influential, and subjectively distinctive investors, and high-value investment firms to LEAP.

You will be responsible for identifying an impressive range of investors and investment firms, assessing their suitability for the 2nd edition of the world’s largest debut tech launch event, and then inviting them to LEAP. You will keep in contact with these investors throughout the year, cultivating a relationship, answering all queries, and meeting with them to convince them to become a part of the Investor Program. All prospective and confirmed investors will be kept on a database that will be updated daily, for tracking and data purposes.

Closer to the event, this would involve working with the logistical operations team to ensure: Tier 1 investors (from the top global firms) are well looked after (e.g., flights, accommodation, transport); and that all investors confirmed to attend are kept well informed about key event details, such as badge collection, app downloads, venue location, and more.

Furthermore, you will co-ordinate with marketing to ensure that every confirmed investor’s bio and picture are featured on our website and track any changes prior to the event.

To bring onboard these investors, it is critical to understand the story of tech and humanity at LEAP:

LEAP will distinctly focus on exploring the role of technology in tackling intricate societal challenges, showcasing how communities can leverage and harness advanced technologies to, overcome healthcare ailments, reinvigorate working practice and the job landscape, transform education for improved excellence, enhance accessibility and create overall ecosystem equality.

• You will think big – imagine investors from the most highly-regarded investment firms in the world.
• You will become the main contact for hugely influential tech investors from all around the world and you will build your own rolodex of big names.
• You will seek to have an investor program of 400+ people, representing the top global investment firms, attending hundreds of meetings, and engaging with everything LEAP has to offer.

• You are willing to spend 2-3 months a year in Saudi Arabia

Skills Required

• You will work closely with marketing team to ensure that they accurately represent your investors.
• You will be innovative in identifying globally investors and ensuring they align to the core values of LEAP.
• You will be diligent in ensuring onboarded investors are high quality and the firms they represent are high value.
• You will be able to convince investors the benefits of attending and participating in LEAP.
• You will do extensive research across multiple platforms to ensure all investor information is up to date.
• You will have excellent people management skills to ensure investors are well looked after both in the pre-event run-up, and on site.

Essential

• A keen interest in the global investment ecosystem, especially in the latest tech developments.
• Experience in dealing with investors and VCs is greatly preferred, especially if relationships have already been established and cultivated.
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Commercial awareness.
• A strategic approach in order to determine the shape of the LEAP Investor Program.
• Research based role.
• Copywriting/marketing skills.
• Brand and market awareness.
• Exemplary people management skills.
• You are willing to spend 2-3 months a year in Riyadh.
