As a Bookkeeping Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the financial records of IIQAF. You will work closely with other team members and report to the Finance Manager. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers to contribute to the success of our organization.Responsibilities Record and monitor all financial transactions, including expenses, invoices, and payments Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures Keep track of accounts receivable and accounts payable Assist with auditing and ensure compliance with financial regulations Work with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues Continuously suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping activitiesRequirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite programs Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time-management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in the non-profit sector and familiarity with Islamic finance principles is a plus
