Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a preopening hotel, is looking for an active Room Attendant to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

• As part of our Housekeeping team, your responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and good order of all rooms to create a pleasant environment for our guests and our team.
• In addition, you will perform cleaning and maintenance of all storage areas, public areas and employee areas to the required standard.
• You will handle any guest queries in a courteous and professional manner and escalate as required, as well as reporting any malfunctioning equipment, damaged furniture or maintenance problems.
• Under the direction of the Housekeeping Floor Supervisor and general guidance of the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels Group brand and hotel’s policies and procedures;
• Responsible to keep guest rooms and adjacent areas in a clean and well maintained condition that meets the hotel’s standards for cleanliness and presentation.
• Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, and One Team while delivering a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.

What we need from you

• Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in the similar role in a four or five-star hotel
• Ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, good communication skills along with being quality oriented with focus on details, high performance standards, able to multi-task & meet deadlines and technical proficiency in related software preferable.
• Physically fit for operations work and willing to extend extra hours if required.
• Elementary Degree-Graduate.
• This job requires ability to perform the following:•
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 200 pounds
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
  • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• To be successful in this role you should have excellent personal presentation and a strong work ethic.
• You should be proactive, able to work under your own initiative and the drive to consistently meet our high standards in terms of cleanliness and brand pillars ensuring our guests have a comfortable stay with us.
