Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a preopening hotel, is looking for an active and experienced Lifeguard/Pool Attendant to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

• Being the Lifeguard, you will maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas. You will help create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes guests/ members’ safety.
• You will perform the following tasks on a daily basis at work
• Monitoring the use of the facilities and ensure that un-authorized persons are not permitted to enter and use the health club facilities unless they are a hotel guest, club member or permitted visitors.
• Maintaining control and ensure that the guests and members follow the rules of the health club and hotel and advise the guests on harmful/risky practices to ensure compliance to the Pool/Gym Safety.
• Be responsible in the event of guests, members or colleagues’ sickness, emergency incidents- Offer First Aid services including CPR whenever necessary.
• Welcome prospective members in a professional and courteous manner providing them with a full explanation and orientation of the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, pool bar, sauna, steam and all areas of the health club together with the services available and to promote and sell memberships.
• To log the necessary details of the person enquiring in the log book.

What we need from you

• Excellent swimming skills- Lifeguard certification is necessary from a competent certifying body.
• At least 1 year experience in managing the Pool deck
• Warm, friendly attitude, and always welcoming guests.
