Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a preopening hotel, is looking for an active General Technician to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

As a General Technician, you will be responsible to ensure that implementation of all hotel policies, standards and procedures for Energy Conservation & Control, Fire prevention and other life safety programs and Effective Preventive and routine maintenance of all equipment. You will also coordinates and liaises/follows-up with service companies during equipment breakdown. Some of your responsibilities are :

• Arranges for additional services such as repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment, as required.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to the specified standard
• Ensure that all related tools are in safe place and in working condition
• Coordinate with other departments counterparts and ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress
• Implement energy conservation activities/initiatives for the property, as assigned
• Participate in ongoing inspection of Plant and equipment conditions to determine the type of maintenance work required.

Implement the Fire Life Safety (FLS) program activities of the department, as tasked.

What we need from you

• Education in technical studies or equivalent qualification
• At least 1-2 years of experience in any 4 or 5 star hotels in similar or same position.
• Has the passion in delivering True hospitality
• Service oriented behavior
