Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a preopening hotel, is looking for an active Engineering Technician – Carpenter to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park will include 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

We are currently looking for qualified Carpenter within our Engineering department to cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. This job entails working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. Main job responsibilities include: • Apply Trade Expertise as a carpenter • Maintenance of the indoors and outdoors as requested by Shift Leader. • Responsible of maintaining and decorating the interior and exterior of the building. • Carry out preventive maintenance program to ensure facility and equipment are maintained for its operation. • Ensure the safety and comfort of guests and that any requests for service are handled in a courteous and efficient fashion. • Maintain the hotel in your qualified trade to the desired standard. • Daily inspection and rectification of all public areas in relation to your trade. • Complete work orders as requested by the Shift Engineer or Chief Engineer in relation to your trade and other directives to meet customer requirements. • Initiate/identify project work required in light of your trade throughout the hotel. • Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Shift Engineer/Chief Engineer. •. Carry out any minor repairs to guest rooms or public areas.

What we need from you

• Education in technical studies or equivalent qualification
• At least 1-2 years of experience in any 4 or 5 star hotels in similar or same position.
• Has the passion in delivering True hospitality
• Service oriented behavior
