Your day to day
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining sales activity for assigned account base and new business activities in order to generate revenue in line with the annual business plans and strategic sales revenue plans for InterContinental Hotel Dubai Festival City, Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai Festival City and Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Dubai Festival City as well as the IHG global footprint. You will be specifically targeting new business conversion for assigned segments which could include but not limited to the following market segments; Corporate Meeting Groups, Corporate, Association, Incentive, Government, Entertainment & Sport as well as driving catering revenue in order to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets. Your responsibiltes will also include: • Build measurable strategy for account base with quarterly and monthly targets as agreed by Director of Sales. • Uncover and actively pursue additional opportunities and ensure overall revenue targets for both hotels. • Drive low demand periods with seasonal and tactival activity by creating, implementing and managing targeted sales campaigns. • Achieve budgeted revenues and personal sales goals and maximise profitability. Pay attention to forecast revenue shortfalls for managed market segments and communicate these in a timely fashion to all stakeholders to ensure that action is taken to combat any deficit. • Assist in the preparation of annual budget. Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental revenue. • Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.
What we need from you
· Minimum diploma in Hotel Management, Sales & Marketing or related field preferred. · Minimum two years’ experience in a sales or hotel role within the Middle East with a successful track record · Hotel, Tourism and Hospitality experience. · Demonstrated proven ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. · Experience in managing multi-stakeholder relationships in a matrix environment which offers an environment of multiplicity, uncertainty, and change. · Ability to work across multiple diversified business units and market segments.
