Job Information:
Mud preparation according to customer well program requirements.
Provide on-site services associated with measurement and testing of drilling fluids and supervision of mixing and pumping operations.
Activities also include performing technical analyzes and making informed recommendations to control fluid properties.
Report to the Field Services Manager, Site Manager, or Operations Manager.
Review fluid schedule to prepare orders and mix plans.
Write procedures for mixing and handling products.
Job Requirements:
Collect samples and perform tests to determine trends and identify contaminants.
Record test results to identify trends.
Interpret property test data to establish required treatment or action.
Determine the cause of fluid, hole, or system problems to aid in treatment recommendation.
Determine the chemical treatments required to optimize the drilling parameters.
Advise the customer on potential treatments or fluid system improvements based on data analysis and mud testing.
Recommend solids control processes to ensure economical disposal.
