We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer who has experience with Manual and Automated testing who can lead Backend testing, familiar with the best testing practices, writing unit tests and integration tests, experienced in writing REST calls using JSON serialization, familiar with Agile methodologies and can communicate effectively in English.

You’ll be working directly with a world class team, with people from companies like Uber, Microsoft, SumUp, Revolut, Loft and Careem.

This is a fully remote role and can be based +/- 3 hrs timezone from Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities:

• Test new or updated software which is provided by the development team to determine if the software performs accurately and reliably according to the documented requirements under both normal and extreme conditions.
• Build product test strategies, write and execute test plans, file bugs, and communicate with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
• Work with developers to triage inbound bug reports and reproduce reported issues
• Recommend improvements to the product management team.
• Actively communicate with stakeholders when necessary, in order to identify and clarify problems or deviations.

Requirements:

• A completed degree in Computer Science or a related field (University or Technical College)
• Minimum of 4 years of professional/commercial testing experience.
• Effective english communication
• Good understanding of software development Lifecycle & methodologies
• Knowledge of software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Strong analytical skills, creative and critical thinking ability and problem solving skills
• Team player and dynamic personality
• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, …etc) for API, Mobile and Web applications
• Proactive Attitude and hands-on approach
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Experience in application security and performance testing is an advantage
• Experience in Agile Testing methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage
• Experience managing a team of testers is an advantage
• An ISTQB certification is desirable
