Group General Counsel – Dubai

Are you a General Counsel looking for a new challenge? Hunter Savage is working exclusively with one of the world’s largest and most recognised private investment and development companies to recruit a Group General Counsel. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Chairman and the board to act as a trusted advisor on all areas of legal and risk and lead their existing legal team. This role would suit an experienced General Counsel with strong experience of leading on large scale, multi-jurisdictional transactions, exceptional leadership skills who is highly adept at working at board level.

They have an impressive portfolio of businesses across a range of sectors to include real estate and property development, fashion & retail, hospitality to name a few. They are a highly successful and ambitious organisation who are continuously seeking expansion into new sectors and areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a key role in a leading global business.

The Role

Working closely with the Chairman the General Counsel will be responsible for advising on the strategic direction of the business, advising on all areas of legal and risk across a number of jurisdictions, to lead on key complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions (M& A/JV), lead a legal team and provide leadership across the business, lead on any real estate transactions and have oversight over any other areas to include litigation, commercial, IP matters etc.

The Person

You must meet the following criteria

– Qualified Solicitor – Must have 15 + years PQE

• Demonstrable transactional experience to include large scale multi-jurisdictional transactions to include M & A, Joint Venture etc.

• Experience of working at board level and acting as a trusted advisor

• Excellent leadership skills and ability to effectively manage and grow a team
