Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team in Malaysia. As an individual contributor, you will be part of Hitachi Energy’s business, supporting the Transformers Services (TRES) business in meeting HSE KPIs.Your Key Responsibilities You will lead weekly calls with TRES Units to ensure compliance and prepare the business for Hitachi Energy management system requirements. You will develop and deliver Mandatory Training to TRES Team members across the APMEA Hub and lead electrical safety training requirements. You will travel to suppliers to resolve quality issues, develop quality processes, and inspect components and products. You will review risk assessments in supporting countries and manage documentation, operational checks, and reports for the HSE Management System. You will compile non-conformities, prepare corrective actions, and follow up on closures for TRES Units, and coordinate accident and near-miss investigations. You will analyze accidents and near-miss incidents, recommend corrective actions, and submit Management Information System reports. You will serve as the Learning Management System Administrator for Hub APMEA and perform safety audits and inspections to identify and correct potential hazards.Your Background You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a valid NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) Certification. Ideally, you have 10-12 years of experience in HSE involving structural projects at customer sites. Applicants with civil engineering, heavy machinery, heavy equipment, or telecom projects background are encouraged to apply. You possess excellent coordinating skills, with cross-continent and regional experience. You are able to travel up to 30% of the time for business. Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
