Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support our educators and students. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and effective learning environment. Your patience, organizational skills, and ability to assist in classroom activities will contribute to the success of our educational programs.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with lead teachers to support classroom instruction and activities.
-Assist in preparing lesson materials, setting up equipment, and organizing the classroom.
-Provide individualized attention and support to students with varying needs.
-Supervise students during class, recess, and other activities.
-Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
-Assist with managing student behavior and enforcing classroom rules.
-Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students as needed.
-Assist students with assignments and projects.
-Prepare and distribute classroom materials and assignments.
-Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents as directed.
-Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
-Handle administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and grading, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Teacher Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience and the ability to work effectively with students of different ages and abilities.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with lead teachers.
Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
