Help AG Hiring for Senior Infrastructure Administrator Job at Dubai Full Time

The Senior Infrastructure Administrator reporting to the Head of IT infrastructure & Operations, will be intensely involved in Infrastructure Admin / Operations, improvements, advice, work on the problems and contribute to the infrastructure setup.

This position will require on-call responsibilities for the duties or functions routinely performed. Additionally, maintenance activities that affect service availability routinely require work outside of regular business hours.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of cloud and onsite infrastructure. Efforts to limit work disruptions within the organization include systems preventative maintenance, planning and implementation of new solutions, and providing advanced support to resolve infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure helpdesk tickets are all attended within the SLA requirements
• Use ticketing system to administer support of assigned incidents, changes and problems;
• Install, configure, maintain and repair: cloud services, server systems and networking devices;
• Resolve escalated Tier 2-3 services.
• Own standardized proactive maintenance for assigned equipment.
• Actively participate department’s response protocols for critical infrastructure.
• Maintain documentation of responsibility areas.
• Support cybersecurity hygiene commitments of the organization as outlined by IT leadership.
• Aid with Tier-1 support coverage during staffing gaps.
• Review best practices and present recommendations to IT leadership.
• Other Required Cloud Skills:
  • Azure Administration, VM creation and migration
  • VNET design and administration, and Network Administration
  • Azure Site Recovery & Backup
  • Familiarity with storage and reservation options

  – Direct experience with Physical-2-Virtual server migration

  • Multi-site firewall Access Control List configuration
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Setup and install of firewalls, switches, and access points
  • Basic network design for security, business requirements and performance
  • best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Software/Computer Technology Field Preferred) or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience administering cloud or infrastructure services across a large, diverse, server environment
• Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment
• Demonstrated experience, training or certification with a major Public Cloud platform such as VMware vCloud, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM SoftLayer, etc.
• Demonstrated experience, training or certification with major Private Cloud platforms such as VMware vRealize, OpenStack, Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle OVM, RedHat KVM, etc.
• In depth knowledge of IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, WINS, load balancing and firewall technologies
• In depth knowledge of VMWare, HP, IBM, Cisco, Dell and other major vendor HW/SW offerings
• In-depth knowledge of directory services, authentication technologies, Active Directory/LDAP, etc.
• Intermediate knowledge of system and network security best practices including governance
• Intermediate knowledge of enterprise storage administration
• ITIL Foundation certified
