I’m currently assisting a global management consultancy firm, with their search for a Senior Accountant to join their operations in Dubai.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a well – established team. This role holds responsibility for supporting the local leadership and consultants, with a focus predominantly on the Middle East region.
Key responsibilities include, assisting the team with raising invoices and credit notes, arranging translation of Arabic invoices, dealing with local / global banks, issuing bid and performance bonds on projects, maintaining a list of bonds, supporting the local finance audit, supporting local tax agents by providing documentation for VAT and withholding tax, month – end account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, candidates must be qualified finance professionals holding or currently pursuing certifications in ACCA, ACA, CPA etc. with a degree in Accounting and Finance Related subjects.
Candidate must haves:
- 3 – 4 years working in Big 4
- Experience working in an Accounts receivable role in a global organisation
- Experience using SAP
- Good knowledge of IFRS, regulatory compliance and accounting standards
- Good knowledge of issuing bonds and guarantees
- Arabic speaking is a plus, not mandatory
