Hays are recruiting for a General Sales Manager for a large Spare Parts business.

Your new role

A General Sales Manager will have the following key responsibilities :-

• Translate the proposed objectives for your region into clearly defined objectives in order to contribute to the realization of the organization’s turnover.
• Following up operational processes within your own division in order to ensure conformity with processes in other divisions.
• Ensuring correct staffing levels within the department at all times in order to work efficiently and to provide the customer with the fastest possible response.
• Maintain contact with the most important customers and prospects in your region in order to develop a long-term relationship and thus realise the targeted turnover.
• Constructing a close team of highly qualified employees and encouraging collaboration between team members in order to create a well-functioning department.

What you’ll need to succeed

Continually mapping the competitors’ market evolution, actions and market position by means of strong consultation with your Representatives and Agents and/or through direct contacts with customers or on the basis of market research in order to take advantage of commercial opportunities and maintain a strong knowledge of your market and competitors.
