AP Accountant with experience in heavy industry in commodities

We are currently assisting a company who specialise in production and trading of minerals with their search for an AP Accountant to join their already established team in Dubai
Your new role
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, on a day to day basis, working closely with the operations team and interacting with suppliers.
This role is responsible for identifying and processing the credit notes and invoices, resolving queries of the creditors by performing Vendor Age Analysis, assisting in reconciliation and payments of the creditors and to ensure payments are made within terms and must be reported on a timely basis.

- Vendor Reconciliation
- Vendor Maintenance
- Vendor Payment
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this position the candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s in accounting or finance related subjects, any additional certificates or degrees are an asset (ACCA, CMA, CPA etc.) Candidate must haves:
- Experience working in the Accounts Payable department
- Experience working in familiar with similar industries
- Proficiency in Sage X3 software is preferred
- Strong Communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments
