Under general supervision, functions as a member of a Payroll Unit, whose primary responsibility is the processing of employee payrolls, which includes HR and Payroll data gathering, processing, accounting, internal reporting, audit, and external reporting and remittance of all applicable wages and taxes. Keeps current on changes in prevailing wage-hour and payroll tax laws for all jurisdictions/locations in which Halliburton has operations, particularly as they relate to the assigned area of responsibility. Responsible for moderately complex projects required to produce proper supporting documentation related to applicable payroll reports, audits, accounting, and tax filings. Responsible for the preparation of adequate documentation in support of internal controls. Assists with analysis, reconciliation, and ultimate resolution of a variety of payroll issues. Position requires a fundamental understanding of payroll functions and how those processes integrate with accounting, tax, and other reporting functions. Position requires extensive analytical and communications skills, as well as proficiency in MS Excel. Skills typically acquired through a minimum of five years of related experience within a payroll discipline. Professional payroll certification or undergraduate degree in a business related field may be accepted in lieu of experience.
