If you don’t fill all of the qualifications, you may still be considered depending on your level of experience.Responsibilities of a Microwave EngineerProject Implementation:Work closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to grasp project requirements and design specifications. Create comprehensive implementation plans delineating tasks, timelines, and resource needs.Regular coordination with the clients and management on project progressDocumentation:Timely report preparation and submission Maintain accurate documentation of implemented solutions, including configuration details, test results, and troubleshooting proceduresCreation of technical documentation, including pre-bid requirements, final engineering designs, system architecture, engineering drawings, cable schedules, bill of materials, and scope of works. These documents are essential for project implementation and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Technical Expertise:Perform microwave link path analysis, and microwave link budgets utilizing microwave design software.Knowledgeable with local and international standards regarding wireless communications.Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, and switches.Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.Gained expertise in RF optimization and performance evaluation of wireless communication devices.Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during implementation and provide timely resolutions.On-site Engineering Works such as:Assisting in software configurations as needed. Supervising and monitoring technical Implementation works such as:Site preparations, Microwave panel and dish antenna assemblies,Cable laying/harnessing, Wire terminations,and testing, commissioningSite Survey and other related estimation activitiesOther duties and assignments as required.Qualifications for Microwave Engineer· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineer (EE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) or Computer Engineering.· Has a minimum 3 years of work experience; preferably with supervision, testing, and commissioning works.· Familiar with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power sensors, etc.· Certifications with other OEMs is an advantage.· Willing to work onsite.· Having a valid driver’s license is an advantage.
