Job Description
- Analyses complex commercial provisions and provides advice and interpretation to management
- Generates TEU volumes throughout terminals, as per targets set
- Participates in negotiation of changes, modifications and claims with clients
- Ensures that clients’ agreements are being closed in a satisfactory manner, as per the predefined procedures
- Accountable to meet and exceed agreed targets & KPIs set; generate profitable business to directly impact positive EBIT development
- Budgets, measures and exceeds strategic business and performance objectives for incremental TEU volume, existing departmental accounts and new business opportunities
- Acts as the commercial project lead in providing solutions to customers, ensuring the respective internal team resources are allocated to benefit the customer and the business.
- Identifies and seeks to capitalize on profitable business opportunities, particularly where these may complement and increase the company’s overall supply chain offerings, including subsidiary businesses
- Manages accountability for customer financial relationships, which includes: billing, overdues and payment behavior
Desired Candidate Profile
Work Experience Desired:
- Should have handled variations and claim mechanisms, along with commercially managing clients, shipping lines and major freight forwarder agreements.
Professional Competencies Desired:
- High proficiency in MS Office and MIS reporting and analytics
- Extensive understanding of the global and regional ports and shipping landscape, UAE trading markets, agents, lines, Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCC).
