General Accountant required for a company based in Dubai
The responsibilities for this post will include:
Job Description:
§ Posting and processing all business transactions / vouchers.
§ Reconciling bank statements and the general ledger and all sorts of reconciliation in accounts.
§ Reviewing and reporting expenses.
§ Preparing weekly/monthly reports and supporting the month end closing process.
§ Managing end to end bookkeeping functions of complete Trial Balance / P&L on monthly basis.
§ Processing Balance Sheets and other Financial Statements.
§ Accounts finalization and assistance to audit and provide all documents and schedules to the external accountants.
§ Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable.
§ VAT filing/processing and managing all VAT declarations and claims back.
§ Supporting team for office administrative tasks.
§ Accounting for petty cash and maintaining all the supporting documentation.
§ Reviewing of all debtors / creditors accounts.
§ Checking and accounting of utility bills.
§ Checking and preparing monthly Payroll, all employees’ related payments including leave, salary advances, and final settlement and generating the WPS file accordingly.
Qualifications required:
§ Qualifications required for this position:
§ Bachelor’s degree in accounting (higher qualifications are also welcome).
§ 5+ years of experience as General Accountant.
§ Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software i.e. Tally (knowledge of other additional accounting systems is an advantage).
§ Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
§ Strong advanced excel skills and experience.
§ Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
§ Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
§ Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
