Compounding Leadership:
• Provide leadership and direction to the compounding team, including training, guidance, and performance management.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for compounding to ensure consistent and accurate practices.
• Implement best practices and stay informed about advancements in compounding techniques.
Quality Assurance:
• Oversee quality control measures to ensure accurate compounding, ingredient integrity, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of compounding areas to maintain a clean and compliant environment.
• Monitor and address any issues related to contamination, equipment maintenance, or safety concerns.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate with physicians, prescribers, and healthcare providers to understand patient needs and tailor medications accordingly.
• Serve as a compounding resource to the healthcare team, providing expertise on compounding solutions and alternatives.
Team Management:
• Recruit, train, and manage the compounding team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Schedule and assign tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource allocation.
• Conduct performance evaluations, mentorship, and ongoing training to enhance team skills.
Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure compliance with all DHA regulations governing compounding practices.
• Stay informed about changes in regulations and adapt practices accordingly to maintain compliance.
Documentation and Record-Keeping :
• Maintain accurate records of compounding procedures, batch records, ingredient sourcing, and patient-specific compounding details.
• Facilitate timely documentation of adverse events or concerns related to compounded medications.
