Job Specification:

Design Manager to manage the overall Oil and Gas Business Division for Well Testing, Well Servicing, Custom manufacturing, API product ranges etc.

The DM should have 15+ years of industrial experience, managing 5+ Mechanical engineers and 20+ Draftsman.

The DM should be a knowledgeable person in the field of designing Static pressure vessel, process packages, skids, process equipment, Piping,

sound knowledge of providing technical support in Conceptual Studies, FEED, Proposals & Estimation and Detail Engineering of Static Equipments as

well as Package Units for Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore), Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemicals for Greenfield as well as Brownfield projects. Able to ensure timely,

safe and cost effective design and implementation during the life cycle of projects from conception till execution and operation.

Should have the design code knowledge in · ASME Div. I and Div. II, ASTM, ANSI, AWS, NACE, API, DNV, CE-PED,TEMA, etc.

Equipment Familiar With :

Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Process Columns, Separators, Knock Out Drums, Plate & Frame Heat Exchangers,

Air Pre Heater, Column/vessel Internals, Tanks, Scrapper receivers, Filters, API Tanks, Filter vessels, etc.

Packages Worked with :

Dehydration, Desalting, Chemical Injection, Deaerator, 2/3 Phase Separators Skid, Production Separators, Reverse Osmosis,

Sewage Treatments, Fuel Gas Conditioning Package, etc.

Well servicing Products: Silos, Frac equipment, Storage tanks,

• Provide information regards to the process to engineering and other teams.

• Perform process simulation and prepare Process Flow Diagram(PFDs), P&ID along with the process engineer.

• Proper selection of material and should have below knowledge.

Metallurgy Worked With :

CS,LTCS, LAS, SS, DSS/Super DSS,CS + CLAD / WOL, LTCS + CLAD / WOL, LAS + CLAD/WOL & Non Ferrous Alloys

like Inconel, 600, 625,825,Monel,Titanium, Cupronickel, etc.

• Prepare sizing information for the process equipment

• Prepare sizing and datasheet for various process instruments and materials

• Knowledge in mechanical design calculation/review and detailed drawing

• Nozzle Pro, PV Elite, Compress, Code Calc, Auto Cad, other modeling softwaresect

• Knowledge in piping stress analysis, Structural stress analysis, FEA analysis etc

• Prepare battery limit list, including line list, equipment list, and instrument list

• Ability to communicate with clients with respect to process requirements and provide reports

• Knowledge in heat transfer and thermal calculation

• Evaluate erosion and corrosion level in the equipment/ or needs to communicate to a subcontractor for evaluation

• Provide necessary information for the mechanical engineer team for designing

• Knowledge in mechanical design conditions of equipment and piping components.

• Knowledge in the selection of various pumps and knowledge in evaluation for pump NPSH

• Knowledge in Onshore/offshore requirements, CE-PED requirement

• Knowledge in Zone-0,1,2 and safe zone requirements

• Key Responsibilities of the DM

• Review & approval of critical project documents prepared by Client, EPC Contractor/ FEED Contractor such as Project-specific

Static Equipment Design Basis, Project Specifications, TBEs, Critical Package Datasheets, Material Selection Report/ Diagram

( MSR/MSD), Equipment Criticality Procedure, Technical Questionnaires etc.

Design and detail engineering of pressure vessels and process packages

• Preparation of Mechanical datasheets for instruments and raw materials as per project specification

• Review and approval of Vendor Drawing & Design Calculations for critical and complex metallurgical equipment’s

• Review and approval of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Procedures prepared by QA/QC or by the client

• Provide inputs during the following for various projects,

a) HAZOP/HAZID/PHA studies at various stages of a project.

b) Design reviews, Model reviews, Constructability reviews, etc.

c) Review of P&ID with the internal team and with the client.

• Provide procedures, Technical specifications, Design philosophies, guidelines, etc.

• Liaise with various departments such as operation, maintenance, facility integrity in order to obtain correct input data required

during the detailed engineering stage of the project.

• Identify project interfaces and seek clear inputs from ongoing other projects.

• Visits site, seek clear and correct inputs from operation team and prepare a site visit report

• Monitors/inspects the site fabrication and installation of equipment to assure that the work proceeds according to the agreed standards

and consistent with the project quality requirements with proven and economical construction practices

• Participate in the pre-qualification of vendors and review the bidder lists

• Prepare internal documents as per QMS requirements and face internal and external audits

• Prepare necessary documents for ASME audits

Should be familiar with specifications and requirements, of Shell, Aramco, ADNOC, KOC, Aramco, PDO, etc.
