A Snacks Creator with a global leader in the creation of Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrance & Beauty, and an important member of our Regional Taste & Wellbeing Creation & Application team and supporting our customers in the Middle East region while being based in our Dubai office – Your future position?

The Taste & Wellbeing Creation and Application (T&WCA) organisation within Givaudan discovers and develops new ingredients and flavours for all kinds of food applications, focusing on Beverages, Sweet Goods, Dairy, Bakery, Snacks, Savoury, Natural, and other exciting categories. We are a global organisation with diverse experts in science, creation, application, and sensory science.

We are expanding the T&WCA team and hiring a ‘Junior Snacks Creator’ to focus on active and proactive Snacks creation projects for the Middle East region, which includes important markets in the GCC, Iran, and Pakistan. Our customers will recognise you as a solution partner by working on their Snacks projects using the value of Givaudan’s Taste & Wellbeing solutions and Innovation platforms.

Reporting to the Taste & Wellbeing Technical Manager for the Middle East and based in our regional head office in Dubai, you will be an important player in our T&WCA team.

The role offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional development. This is a contract role with us on an open contract for 1 year to start with and working 5 days a week. The contract could be extended later depending on our requirements with a high possibility of becoming a permanent role with us.

In this exciting role, you will help manage –

Promote winning performance in the Snacks flavour creation projects through:

• A culture of accountability.
• Excellent project management practices.
• Ensure clear and structured communication with the relevant Key Account Manager and customers in the Middle East region
• Collaborate with the wider Taste & Wellness Creation and Application (T&WCA) teams in the region.

Develop the best flavours relevant to our customers by utilising the Givaudan capabilities:

• Follow the project goals and requirements.
• Apply and test flavours in snack applications.
• Build relations with our customers by regularly visiting and communicating with them.

Work on proactive projects defined in the Snacks strategy:

• Develop new top-note flavours and final seasonings applying the value of Givaudan’s Taste & Wellbeing solutions and Innovation platforms.
• Test these flavours in applications and organise evaluation sessions.
• Help develop market-relevant demos.
• Be a technical expert and advisor for marketing, sales, and customers.

Snacks creation toolbox knowledge and new product introduction rules:

• Build an excellent knowledge of raw materials and ingredients from the snacks creation toolbox. Thoroughly understand their profiles, suitability for the different snack applications, legislation requirements, and other customer requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments and new or removed ingredients.
• Identify gaps, find, and suggest the addition of new ingredients.
• Ensure that flavour formulations follow both Givaudan and customers’ factory and production requirements, including functionality.

Your professional profile includes:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant hands-on work experience focussing on creation projects for the snacks category with a Flavour house, FMCG, or a reputed company in the food or ingredients sectors.
• Preferably have knowledge of Organic Chemistry.
• Experience in industrial product development and leading customer projects will be good to have.
• Have a passion and interest in new flavours and foods with well-developed tasting skills.
• Have excellent project management and sensory skills.
• A good awareness of market trends.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Proficiency in additional languages like Arabic or French will be advantageous but not mandatory.
• A team player and comfortable with diversity.
• Can travel across the Middle East markets to meet customers as needed.
