They are recruiting a qualified QHSE inspector having a diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering and 5 years of progressive experience in site supervision and inspections in the UAE
Job Overview
The Mechanical Inspector assesses and reports on the progress, health, safety, and quality of construction works to support the site supervision management team in ensuring that the works are completed in accordance with the contract.
Job Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of work against approved shop drawings and approved materials in accordance with approved method statements.
• Raise site observations and non conformance reports where works are faulty or non-compliant with the contract.
• Maintain progress records for tracking progress v/s program. 
• Conduct on-site measurements as trained and required. 
• Comply with all policies, procedures inclusive of health and safety plans and site supervision manual. 
• Actively contribute to the health, safety and welfare of self and others through identification and reporting of potential health and safety hazards in the workplace.
• Complying with the requirements of company Quality and HSEEn Policy Statement.
• Considering the consequences of their acts on their safety and that of fellow employees.
• Following all general and job-related Quality and HSEEn work procedures and practices.
• Detecting, reporting and correcting unsafe behavior or conditions and nonconformities.
• Applying Quality and HSEEn work practices both on and off the job.
• Making or suggesting enhancement to the jobs at hand to reduce or eliminate the risk associated with job performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical field or higher OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in site supervision and inspections in the UAE OR an equivalent combination of both. 
• HSE inspections for electrical and mechanical projects.
• Power measurement, testing and commissioning of MV, LV panels, SMDB’s, MCC’s, DB’s, control panels, etc
• Measurement of different parameters including air and water flows, lighting lux levels, temperatures, etc.
• Troubleshooting control panels with different configurations.
• Commissioning, or witnessing the commissioning process, of electrical and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in maintenance and repair of HVAC and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of reading manuals, drawings, and tasks sheets and prepare inspection reports.
• Knowledge with the use of power quality analyzers, current measurements, air flow measurements, and light level measurements.

Skills

• Must be fluent in English language and the language of the works Contract (spoken and written).
• Must work professionally and in an ethical manner.
• Tools and Software: Competent user of Microsoft applications.
