About the Role
The role of the HSE trainer is to provide HSE training to the school and services teams, in order to facilitate a safe environment within all GEMS MENASA schools and services business. The role also supports the Head of HSE by managing and monitoring data, documentation, administration, and following up with school operations on compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Under the direction of the Head of HSE, the HSE Trainer will develop and deliver HSE Training programs to staff and contractors in schools and services businesses.
- Prepare and update the HSE training matrix and annual training plan based on HSE/legal requirements and results of trend analysis.
- Deliver in-house Health and Safety Training based on HSE Training Plan.
- Conduct assessment based on the provided training.
- Organize HSE training programs including the date, time, location, and duration of training events.
- Maintain HSE training records & register for new and existing staff and ensure they are updated as required.
- Communicate with the Head of HSE for any additional HSE training requirements at various phases.
- Determine HSE training needs for staff and develop best practices for required training.
- Improve and adapt existing training programs for delivery and efficiency.
- Retrain employees when industry or company best practices are updated.
- Order workbooks and additional training materials required for training programs.
- Prepare training materials/presentation slides on HSE subjects for all HSE training identified in the training matrix and any project-specific HSE training.
- Assist in HSE campaigns.
- Coordinate with external training providers for the training inside or outside the company premises.
- Administer and control the documentation for training programs and maintains all training records
Expected Qualifications:
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- H&S-related qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
- Tech IOSH member
- Train the Trainer, IOSH & NEBOSH approved trainer
Expected Experience:
- 5+ years of HSE experience in a training role

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver H&S training sessions
