The MENA Region Pricing Leader delivers insights and drives decision making on critical Gas Power Services deals to drive margin expansion for the region. They will work in close partnership with the commercial teams and other regional stakeholders. Gas Power services supports aftermarket service strategy for heavy duty gas turbines across a diverse portfolio offering, including parts, repairs, field services and upgrades.
The successful candidate will must have a commercial mindset and be able to successfully influence the commercial team with deal strategy & recommendations. They will share the pricing organization’s vision with regional teams, participate in building a customer oriented, data driven pricing function and working proactively on processes and programs to build to capture share and improve margins.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with regional commercial and sales team to develop pricing strategies for projects in MENA.
- Work with closely with sales and business leadership to understand markets and competitive scenarios and value delivery to inform deal evaluation.
- Translate available data, competitive information and/or customer value to support the deal pricing for projects and services.
- Own regional win/loss process and ensure MENA teams are well updated about market reality, as well as their win/loss results
- Guide the commercial teams on the strategy and executing of using current & future pricing tools or systems.
- Partner with the global strategic pricing team to drive ongoing price optimization and margin improvement
- Partner with strategic pricing on implementing new global price setting and getting strategies, tools and processes across the Gas Turbine Services projects and businesses (Parts, Repairs, Field Services and Upgrades)
- Provide insights and feedback to the global strategic pricing team to adjust or enhance strategies, tools, and processes.
- Develop skills necessary to take a proactive, influence based approach to driving field-level pricing improvement
- Elevate role of pricing in the organization and influence across regional teams
- Develop a relationship as thought partner and counterbalance to Sales team
- Solicit and act on feedback to optimize pricing strategy
- Actively participate in developing and set strategy direction for pricing
- Actively participate in building global pricing strategic plan incorporating short-term price/margin improvement targets and long-term bid/strategy goals
- Broadly communicate and build support for pricing strategy with the leadership
- Create and drive pricing initiatives
- Seek and implement pricing improvements including margin expansion activities
- Develop regional communications related to pricing. Conduct regular training with the region’s commercial and leadership teams
- Identify new pricing programs to create margin and W/L enhancements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance or related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Pricing, Product Management or Strategic Marketing
DESIRED:
- Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) certification from PPS
- Pricing Deal Desk experience
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence business leadership
- Ability to translate strategy to execution. Results minded with a focus on execution
- Strong analytical, and motivational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to synthesize marketing and pricing information to draw insights and actionable recommendations (e.g., structure the problem, collect data, identify issues, and present results)
- GE Leadership program experience – FMP / CLP / CAS / XLP
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, develop new tactics and address obstacles
