Job Description Summary

As Lead Scheduler you will report to Scheduling Leader for EMEA, GE Gas Power New Units Heavy Duty Gas Turbine and you will be responsible for Scheduling efforts on projects execution for large complex project and work on strategic & continuous improvement initiatives. This will include interacting with different functions and complex project team organizations. As a subject matter expert, you will assist troublesome projects as well as drive the implementation of standardization, best practises & schedule monitoring systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop overall Scheduling KPIs (on time delivery, key milestones, key commodity physical progress etc).
• Develops the Master Time Schedule (Level 3) as the integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) project control schedule, based on contract scope requirements, in cooperation with all involved scope owner parties, to establish optimal work sequences
• integration of Product Lines and partner’s sub-schedule into overall EPC schedule. Define schedule interface points, templates & process for effective schedule integration / update
• Updates the Master Time Schedule and prepares all Project scheduling Reporting on a monthly basis, highlighting critical areas to the Project Director and Project Team. Prepares the Monthly Schedule Review Presentation and other input for Senior management.
• Develops, updates, and delivers the Client Schedule and Client Monthly Report
• Participates in Client meetings on planning, scheduling, and progress matters
• Proactively manages internal and external project activities by closely monitoring the critical paths and the project float
• Travel to site and spend time at project site as needed.
• Build & maintain project templates by plant configuration. Work with relevant functions to maintain durations up to date. Build a registry of historical lead times & lesson learned.
• Organize monthly ‘schedule deep dives’ providing guidance & insights to project and senior management
• Assist troubled projects in execution and support the development of EoT claims
• Support key NPI (New Product Introduction) programs and develop optimized schedules together with Product Leadership & Engineering.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with several years of experience in Project Management). Several years of experience in Project Planning.
• Experience in a Project Controls (scheduling and cost control) function within an EPC environment, including execution of several projects with significant site exposure
• Knowledgeable on Earned value analysis & VoWD (Value of Work Done).
• Knowledge of power plant principles and work processes in an engineering, procurement and construction environment
• Strong experience in Primavera P6 (with resources loaded schedules).
• Strong experience of productivity rates and experience CMS (Construction physical progress measurement based on commodities & manpower).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to lead large complex project team reviews as well as to simplify complex messages
• At least experience of one Turnkey projects execution for Combined Cycle Power Plant from Notice to proceed to substantial completion
• Resilient and ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience of working with international teams and complex environment and open for travel
