Job Outline:
The Senior Manager, Compliance and Assurance ensures that all C&A matters are handled in accordance with Company policy and procedure and in addition provides support to the Director, Compliance and Assurance for all operational and corporate compliance matters, across the GardaWorld SS MEA business.
Key responsibilities are as follows.
Deputize for the Director, Compliance & Assurance, as required, e.g. attendance to Oversight Board meetings, working groups, and external communication and reporting with external stakeholders (ICoCA, MSS Global, UN Global Compact etc.)
Functional management of the Manager, Compliance and Assurance to ensure continued implementation and management of standards throughout East Africa.
Provide C&A support and guidance to departments and operational locations as required.
Assist with the review and maintenance of the GardaWorld management systems.
Undertake internal audits and advisory visits to operational locations.
Write, review and update bid documentation and information to assist the business in winning new business.
Collate, record, analyse and report on data in the business, including incidents, audits and corrective actions.
Make and follow up on recommendations and actions set for promoting continual improvement in the business.
Maintain an awareness of key legislation and industry guidance that is relevant to the activities of GardaWorld.
Assist in the maintenance of external certification in relation to PSC-1, ISO18788, ISO9001, ISO14001; ISO 45001, and other standards as deemed appropriate by the business (e.g. ISO27001).
Support the business to maintain ICoCA membership.
Support reporting requirements on Modern Slavery Act / Anti-trafficking and anti-sexual exploitation measures.
Lead on the data gathering and reporting of Scope 1 to 3 emissions and support the business in its 2050 Carbon Net Zero ambition.
Overseas travel when required to complex environments, typically ten days per month but may on occasions require more or less travel.
Any other ancillary duties deemed as necessary and relevant to maintaining the Compliance & Assurance function of GardaWorld.
Accountability:
The Senior Manager, Compliance and Assurance is accountable to the Director, Compliance and Assurance for their responsibilities stated in this job description. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring of their KPIs.

Education and Experience:
An understanding of compliance, standards and audit work.
Qualified as an auditor to a relevant ISO (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or ISO 9001).
A relevant qualification or experience in a compliance role (e.g. HSE (preferred)
As a minimum a Technician member of IOSH.
Experience/Understanding of risk management principles.
Knowledge of environmental and sustainability management and principles (Advantageous).
Highly competent with IT and Microsoft office applications.
Experience of working in Middle East or Africa (advantageous)
