At GAC, we rely on our IT systems to provide the best solutions that help our users around the world. We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient.
The team’s mission is to build or configure, maintain, secure, enhance applications through their life cycle.
The overall goal for the role is to provide support to enable continuous security improvements to IT Infrastructure which host GAC software applications. This role is also accountable for proactive security improvements and threat-hunting on On-prem and cloud infrastructure hosted by GAC Group IT.
Responsibilities
Threat & vulnerability management in the GAC Group hybrid cloud environment hosted in VMware and Microsoft Azure
Coordinate with internal/external development teams and infrastructure engineers to fix the critical vulnerabilities
Configuration & administration of multiple IT security tools and optimise their use to improve the security score
Pro-active monitoring of IT Security tools to ensure a secure communications network between GAC Global offices and its customers
Continuous R&D on new security solutions to provide recommendations
Weekly/Monthly reporting to senior management on Group IT security KPIs
Requirements
Degree in IT/Computer Science
- Professional certifications such as CEH/ CCSP/Azure Security (AZ-500) would be an added advantage
- 2+ years of experience in managing Vulnerability Tools and Security Event, Security Incident Management (SEIM) solutions is a must.
1+ year of experience in Azure cloud security would be an added advantage.
- 3+ years working in a similar role
- Excellent command of the English language

Strong influential skills to be used when communicating both inside and outside the organisation with peers, vendors and clients
