Full Time Hiring for Legal Associate at Dubai Full Time

Responsibilities and Duties:
Duties within the IP litigation department:
• Writing memorandums, drafting claims and applications related to the IP Civil lawsuits.
• Providing legal consultancy on civil IP and related legal matters.
• Handling the IP lawsuits in the three litigation stages using the portals of Dubai Court and MOJ.
• Attending meetings with the experts.
• Handling the execution procedures with the competent Court in UAE.
• Sending day to day updates in respect of the lawsuits’ progress.
• Supporting the IP Coordinator with translation work, completing POA’s and complaints. Will be the backup for the IP Coordinator.
• Complete administrative and secretarial duties such as the below:
o Preparing memos and documents for court hearings.
o Submitting requests in the Courts, Public prosecution, and Municipality Portals.
o Following up and preparing hearing sessions based on the team’s instructions.
o Follow-up on the cases’ requests in the court and public prosecution Portal.
o Apply for the destruction of goods in Dubai Municipality and arrange for appointments with Police and Public prosecution to destroy relevant items.
o Pay fees relating to the Courts and Public Prosecution and update Accounts.
o Research Defendant’s residency status using the GDRFA application
o Print, scan, and arrange case files.

Qualifications:
• Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Law
• Experience: Legal or IP experience is desirable
• Specific Skills: Bilingual in English and Arabic. Must be flexible and innovative in identifying and recommending solutions.
• Personal Characteristics: Strong personal skills, hardworking, teamwork, self-motivated.
• Physical Abilities: Be prepared to sit for long periods of time. Also, have the ability to type quickly and accurately.
