Job Description:
Purpose:
To support the Senior Accountant and Regional Financial Controller in the day-to-day business activities and contribute to efficiently managing the finance and accounting function improving the revenue/invoicing & cashflow, for Forum Middle East Ltd, including, customer invoicing, supplier invoice posting.
Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)
Finance and Operational Support
- Support the Regional Financial Controller and the Senior Financial Accountant in day-to-day accounting and finance matters related to AR/AP.
- Liaising closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, Service, HR) on day-to-day operational matters for AR/AP.
General Ledger Accounting
- Ensure that all transactions AR/AP are recorded accurately in the General Ledger in line with the group accounting policies and statutory requirements.
Month-end Closing
- Taking the lead for the month end financial closing process for AR/AP.
- Liaising with the group companies for intercompany invoicing and reconciliations AR/AP.
Accounts Receivable
- Ensuring timely and accurate recording of sales invoices.
- Submission of sales invoices on timely basis to customers / portals.
- Being responsible for debt collection and liaising with the sales team for the same.
- Maintaining and creating customer profiles in the system.
- Maintaining customer accounts credit verifications.
Accounts Payable
- Recording supplier & intercompany invoices.
- Working with warehouse team for the good receipts
- Doing three-way match of GR, Supplier invoice and PO before sending any invoices for payments.
- Maintaining Vendor accounts credit verifications.
Payroll
- Reviewing and obtaining relevant approvals for the expense claims and the payroll file.
Other Tasks
- Facilitating the monthly cash count & update of comments on the AR tracking sheet.
- Providing AP ageing sheet for corporate approval.
- Any other task assigned by the Management.
Key Accountabilities: (Deliverables)
- Provide accounting in line with group requirements AR/AP.
- Manage the close of monthly financial statements AR/AP.
- Manage the transfer of data to Hyperion for financial results consolidation AR/AP.
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet AR/AP.
- Preparation of forecasts and variance analysis AR/AP.
Education / Qualifications:
- Accounting degree with professional certification desirable
Technical Competencies:
- Previous experience with Hyperion.
- Previous experience with Navision.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Team player.
- Understanding of deadline achievements.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Value Added Taxes
Experience:
- Relative years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience within the energy or manufacturing industry.
- Experience with US GAAP, IFRS and SOX compliance

- Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.
