Fonterra Hiring for Regional Financial Controller Job at Dubai Full Time

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Regional Financial Controller to overlook the following key areas: lead the Middle East & Africa (MEA) Financial Control and Compliance across all sales channels (Ingredients, Foodservice and Consumer), Commercial Manufacturing and Credit and Strategy. This role would be responsible for a team in Dubai (UAE) and Dammam (Saudi Arabia).

Role Accountabilities:

MEA Control and Compliance

• Lead a team to ensure that the regional/business unit financial statutory requirements are met for all entities in the MEA including monthly reporting
• Take ownership of SG&A costs across the business including forecasting and budgeting, influencing senior management to achieve targets
• Establish, maintain and develop a senior level interface between the Global Accounting Services and the MEA Region to ensure effective and timely performance planning and measurement and financial governance including; secure treasury practices, trusted relationships with local banks; effective transfer pricing.
• Lead the effective tax management including VAT requirements and timely implementation of audit findings
• Lead all internal and external audits for the region
• Lead the compliance framework and policies protecting Fonterra’s interests and assets
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and remove duplication of activities across the shared services functions of Fonterra. This will include the centralisation of activities, removal of non-value add work and driving compliance to standard process.
• Manage a local accounting financial team where Global Business Services are not yet available within the region
• Member of the Finance Leadership Team to create an environment open to cohesive team effort and collaboration. Provide strategic business input and vision in line with corporate goals and KPIs.
• Lead the compliance agenda for the region, including all GRC testing readiness and response and internal audit requirements.

Commercial Manufacturing

• Lead the Finance team onsite at the Dammam Factory (SNZMP) to met all financial statutory requirements
• Lead the SNZMP forecast and budget process
• Support the team to make decisions which support the AMENA/Fonterra Strategy from a Commercial aspect
• Lead the accurate and timely product costing SNZMP SKUs
• Business partner with the wider business to make sound commercial decisions for new product and customers
• Drive cost efficiency on site
• Manage and develop a strong relationship between the Dubai Head Office and Factory at a senior level

Credit and Strategy

• Develop and implement a credit strategy for the Middle East & Africa across all sales channels with the aim of reducing debtor days in a highly volatile region.
• Lead the timely collection of receivables with minimal outstandings
• Ensure all stakeholders are informed of the position and what action plans for MEA debtors
• Business partner with the Sales/Account Managers to ensure collectablity of sales
• Educate and develop Sales/Account Managers understanding of credit and payment terms across all sales channels
• Develop with the NZ and enforce the Sanction Policies ensuring Fonterra’s interests are protected at all time
• Approve credit limits and terms with the Fonterra Delegated Authority Structure

ABOUT YOU

You would possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, a Post Graduate Finance Degree or Chartered Accountant qualification is preferable.
• More than 10 years’ experience In Finance or Accounting industry, preferably within the FMCG industry
• Previous experience in similar high-level finance roles, leading teams and in Financial management & Management reporting
• In depth understanding of leading finance principles and practices
• Customer focus with proven ability in developing and managing relationships at all levels
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organisation
• Excellent influencing skills.
• Advanced JDE, SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
