Job Summary:

The Lean Training Manager III develops and ensures deliverance of the Lean training plan and Lean training curriculum/programs for field teams. Partners with the Lean field services and value stream teams to develop and deliver the “Live Outage” training, as well as perform a gap analysis of Lean training for field teams to ensure that training is developed and delivered to the field teams to address those gaps. Ensures the alignment between Lean programs, Live Outage and competency assurance model that meet or exceed FieldCore and local industry standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver Lean training for field engineers/field service teams
• Partner with the “Live Outage” and value stream teams to develop and deliver “Live Outage” training
• Identify region Lean training gaps and partner with resource director and managers to identify the region training development plan for technical field advisors
• Establish a clear roadmap for Lean training: How to utilize Lean to reduce overall outage waste, reduce cost and improve On Time Delivery (OTD)
• Partner with competency director and Lean services team to establish Lean competency program, developing capability across the spectrum
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop Lean training content for field engineers and supervisors.
• Establish, implement, and lead effective training programs targeted at improving productivity and reducing waste
• Utilize current “Live Outage” program penetration, best practices, and lessons learned
• Manage the training budget and drive cost reductions through innovation in training analysis and execution
• Partner with Field and Resource Operations, as well as all Regional Operations, to produce the Lean training forecast requirements
• Provide reports and analytics to ensure resources meet the various regional, national, and site-specific requirements
• Maintain final accountability for the execution of all internal and external Lean training that is required of the region for Field Employees
• Schedule leadership calls to collect feedback from teams and take action to improve Lean training and learning programs
• Report and track Lean training and learning programs’ certification dates and manage re-certification process
• Provide periodic reports to senior management which depict the current qualification status of all field employees
• Travel may be required, including internationally
• May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent
• 10+ years progressive experience and demonstrated knowledge/success
• 4+ years of experience in a field engineering, training/learning programs, or Lean management role
• 4+ years developing training content or Lean for field services programs
• Proficient is MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Fluent and proficient in both spoken and written English

Desired Characteristics:

• Industry certifications in engineering, project management or technical disciplines
• A deep understanding and experience with Lean methodologies
• Experience with gas turbine and/or outage execution
• Experience with outage productivity tooling and developing cost remediation projects and programs
• Excellent communication and management skills and strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of employees
• Expert in power generation outage maintenance
• Strong project planning and organizational skills
• Work well both independently and in a team environment, including in remote work settings
