We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineering Manager/Head of Engineering (based on seniority) as part of our tech team. This role could either be based in Dubai or remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Own the code, design and architecture for core platform modules and work with product managers
• Use agile development methodologies to prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects with increasing efficiency by leading cross functional team that includes Java Engineers and frontend (depending on project/squad)
• Manage Engineering processes, workflows and schedules to support multiple high impact business initiatives
• Build systems that scale globally with high availability used by millions of users globally in several geographies across various time zones.
• Define the strategic direction and contribute to the technical strategy for the entire platform
• Perform managerial responsibilities including coaching, performance reviews, define / refine processes, and work with engineering leadership to iterate and improve on the experience of being an engineer

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with software development best practices, system design, design patterns, and algorithms
• Experience with large-scale consumer-facing websites, experience in handling large infrastructure and distributed systems
• Experience building diverse, empowered teams
• Proven experience with AWS cloud computing infrastructure
• Hands on in Java technologies and frameworks, microservices
