Expro Group are currently recruiting for a Senior ECI Engineer to join the team in Dubai, UAE

Overall Purpose of the Job: The Senior ECI Engineer will perform Engineering tasks and as directed by the Lead ECI Engineer or assigned Project Manager to ensure ECI elements of projects are completed on schedule and within budget while achieving required technical integrity. They should have a sound knowledge of electrical, instrument and control systems related to oilfield production systems, both onshore and offshore, and experience of full project life cycle from concept to operation & maintenance.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Work closely with the Project Manager and other engineering disciplines to prepare/check/manage ECI engineering deliverables on assigned projects (design basis, philosophies, instrument selection, load list, SLD, studies/reports and recommendations, and so on).

2. Prepare detailed equipment technical specifications for ECI equipment (field instruments, analysers, ESD valves, motor operated valves etc), and, provide discipline input on technical specifications for static equipment packages and rotating equipment (pumps, generators, compressors etc).

3. Oversee the preparation of ECI deliverables by 3rd Party Engineering Consultant (3EC) when required. This will include the preparation of Expro technical specification detailing the deliverables to be produced by 3EC, collating the input data, monitoring 3EC progress and reviewing 3EC engineering deliverables.

4. Work with procurement team in preparing technical specifications for ECI equipment and services for quotation; reviewing vendor bids for technical, QAQC and HSE compliance; prepare technical/commercial bid tab and make recommendations to project manager based on “best value” for ECI equipment.

5. Assume full responsibility for vendor management of ECI equipment PO’s assigned to you from bid evaluation through to delivery

6. Review client and vendor documentation within the agreed timescales.

7. Identify changes to contractual scope from correspondence, client comments on engineering deliverables or other sources and bring to the attention of the project manager.

8. Visit vendor workshops and client offices to participate in KO meetings; expedite progress; resolve technical issues and perform in-progress inspections, FAT’s and final inspections.

9. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines as required to ensure that interface information is exchanged in a timely manner.

10. Attend client site and operational facilities to assist with the installation and commissioning of the ECI elements of the project and support ongoing operational facilities as required.

11. Supervise and mentor junior ECI engineers and designers to ensure that engineering deliverables have technical integrity and are delivered according to the project schedule.

12. Support proposals group with technical input as required, including discipline manhour estimates, technical description of ECI equipment/systems with associated cost estimates.

13. Local and international travel to vendors, clients, and operational facilities for troubleshooting, commissioning support, surveys etc.

14. Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro’s reputation is minimised. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest.

15. Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes & systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorization for any deviations from standard procedures as appropriate.

16. Actively comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Promote HSE awareness; take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance and always follow the 12 Expro House Rules.

17. Ensure objectives set under Employee Development Plan are met.
