Job Summary
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
Documents financial transactions by entering account information
Summarises current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
Prepares VAT & relevant tax returns
Secures financial information by completing database backups
Maintains financial security by following internal controls
Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
High comfort level with working within a small finance/operations team. A strong desire to refine, build, & create successful financial systems.
1-2 years of professional accounting experience required
Experience within a marketing agency or service-based business preferred
Experience with financial accounting, managerial accounting, ledger management, bookkeeping, invoicing, and IFRS accounting standards
Experience using Quickbooks, Tally, or other business accounting software. Expert Excel capabilities.
