Account Manager – Middle East and Africa

As an Account Manager of Expedia Affiliate Partnerships (EPS), you are responsible for leading strategic, top producing affiliate relationships through value driven service, support, and technology optimizations. To succeed in this role, you should exhibit a strong strategic growth focus since the role is part of the IAMET (India, Africa, Middle East, & Turkey) team & the portfolio will be a mix of affiliates/ partners in the emerging markets.
What you’ll do:
Establish and deepen relationships with decision makers at partners and internal stakeholders within Expedia Group
Candidate should be able to manage partner level relationships independently. Develop, negotiate, & extend new or existing proposals / contracts with the affiliates in his/her account portfolio
Analyze external travel industry sales trends & articulate your learnings into a constructive communication to drive business & financial acumen. This includes, but is not limited to, trends from internal data in average sales, average bookings, advertising costs, seasonality fluctuation, and the impact of increased competition
Drive and sell customized solutions within the company to ensure customer receives their specific requests, when possible, in a timely manner
Assist in developing merchandising strategies for the affiliates based on their specific needs, seeking to increase sales by utilizing new technologies, functionality, and product lines
Advise on technical integration and optimization opportunities, working closely with the internal technical teams to ensure optimal usage of EPS’s APIs and template solutions
Support customer issues in a timely fashion and provide resolution in collaboration with our customer support teams
Seek and remain curious to grow your knowledge in gaining competitive insights for the benefit of the portfolio & the team
Resolve conflicts with affiliates which may result in a financial payment & help facilitate timely payments owed to EPS
Identify ways to improve overall platform functionality based on affiliate needs for all product lines
Work closely with Business Development Manager in the region to ensure smooth handover and/or transition with new accounts
Evangelize the technology, solutions & services to affiliates and serve as a champion for the customer internally with technical and project teams
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
Experience as in travel industry in account management, business development or partnership
Ability to speak and write in English and Arabic or Turkish fluently
Strategic mindset: Grasp the “big” picture for EPS and the affiliate, mapping specific tactics to address the overall strategy and direction of both parties
Hierarchy mapping: Work with all levels of seniority in the management internally & externally to drive results. Be able to create a journey for our affiliates to accomplish their expansion, revenue, & growth goals
Relationship building: Lead the entirety of the relationship with the affiliate, including working cross functionally across their organization with commercial, product, customer service, technology, marketing, finance, and accountingteams
Financial / Target acumen: Project revenues & track to targets regularly. Track performance by preparing, analyze, and present monthly status reports that articulate clear discussion on goals internally & with the affiliate on a regular basis.
