Job Description
Evertz is looking for Embedded Software Engineers to work on the latest generation of the legendary Studer audio line. You will join a team of Hardware and Software Engineers working closely together to unlock the potential of our devices. You will help bring up prototype hardware and developing features close to the metal and in userland.
Our software engineers develop next generation technologies that power the creation and distribution of media entertainment that you enjoy at home or on mobile. Our products play a significant role in producing and delivering your favourite sports, shows and movies. Anything you watch on TV or stream online, there’s a good chance Evertz is behind the scenes making it happen.
When you join our team, you will immediately begin developing software that ships. While doing so, you will apply your academic and professional backgrounds to interesting and challenging problems. Your software will be used by skilled media professionals in critical media operations around the world. Skills and Experience you will bring:
C 11 programming and debugging skills
Experience with Hard Real-Time environments
Structured, object oriented design and programming techniques
Data structures, device design and embedded real-time applications
Data Communication Network and associated Layer 2 and 3 protocols
Additional skills and experience that will be useful:
Knowledge of digital hardware (SoC, x86, ARM microprocessor and its peripherals, FPGA, DSP etc.)
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins)
Knowledge of video standards H.264/AVC, MPEG2, H.265/HEVC, JPEG-XS and their applications
Experience with NodeJS would be an asset
