Purpose As the Communications & Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing a diverse range of internal events, including town halls, celebratory events, team-building activities, recognition ceremonies, and workshops. Your role encompasses comprehensive event planning, content creation, budget management, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors. This includes overseeing logistical aspects such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and technical requirements. Continuous improvement is a key aspect, involving the collection and analysis of event feedback for future enhancements. In terms of Communications Management, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals. This involves content creation for internal communication channels like newsletters, intranet, and email communications. During crises and disruptions, you will actively contribute to the organization’s communication response. Your responsibilities also extend to managing external communications, encompassing strategy, planning, press releases, and addressing media inquiries. Ensuring message consistency across internal and external communication platforms is a focal point of your role.Accountabilities Plan, execute, and manage all internal events in alignment with group and Corporate Communications strategies.Maintain a high standard of professionalism and adherence to timelines in event delivery.Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external vendors for seamless event execution.Coordinate the development and maintenance of relationships with teams across the group to facilitate timely and professional implementation of required communication content.Initiate and lead the scoping, development, delivery, and measurement of internal events, including town halls, celebratory events, team-building activities, recognition ceremonies, and workshops. Drive innovation in event design and strategies to enhance the overall impact of internal events.Effectively manage stakeholders across the business, providing communications advice and support. Collaborate with C-Level executives, including the CEO, and work most regularly with the teams in P&CA for employee communications.Generate compelling content for internal communication channels, such as newsletters, intranet, and email communications.Efficiently manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.Collect and analyze feedback from internal events to drive continuous improvement in event planning and execution.Education & Experience 5-7 years of experience in relevant area.Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Strategy/Business Communication/Journalism or related discipline.Proven event management experience, including planning and executing internal events.Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Creative thinking and the ability to innovate in event design and communication strategies.Flexibility: the nature of the department’s work can result in the need to work extra unsociable hours with little or no notice.Great opportunity to create amazing experiences, showcasing your creativity through our internal events and communications management.
