To assist the Floor Manager and their Assistants in the organisation and supervision of service in the Restaurant, bar and Kitchen.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure that the service is at all times performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by the Floor Manager.
To communicate with other Restaurant staff and departments.
To make sure that Company Policy, the Vision Statement, and Departmental Objectives are followed and utilised at all times.
To take responsibility for service in the area of the Restaurant under your responsibility during your shift.
To report, monitor or handle small disciplinary matters.
To also ensure this is communicated to all relevant staff and departments and guest profile is updated with the relevant information.
To ensure that all guest wishes are met so far as is reasonably possible.
To welcome, sit and take food orders from guests in the Restaurant.
To ensure that service is at all times performed in a professional manner following standards set.
To maintain good communication between Kitchen/Restaurant and other departments on a daily basis re specials, shortages and special dietary requirements.
Responsible to observe and evaluate wait staff work procedures to make sure the consistent delivery of quality services.
Instruct wait staff on how presenting menu options, answering questions making recommendations upon request by customers.
Assist with the development management of wait staff work schedules.
Interact with customers in a respectful, courteous manner; seeking feedback on how to assist; checking with customers to make sure that they are enjoying their meals taking corrective action should any problems arise.
6Supervise the general set-up for all tables; overseeing the meal services, table clearing cleaning according to quality standards.
Assist kitchen team members as needed to make sure a flawless flow of meals overall impeccable service.
