Department Description:
FPI Unit provides a specialized service for the interdiction of fraud perpetrated against the bank The unit forms part of the Operational Risk Unit which has independent reporting to highest level of management The purpose of the unit is to manage its susceptibility to fraud risks with a view to reducing it and to raise the level of fraud awareness amongst employees and other stakeholders Fraud prevention is a process that is intended to reduce the risk of fraud and upon the occurrence of a fraud to ensure detection It should also result in the successful prosecution of the offender and to recover any losses To develop and implement of fraud prevention programme
Brief Description:
To assist the ManagerHead Fraud Prevention Investigations in the area of fraud prevention and conduct investigations of known or suspect criminal acts perpetrated against the Emirates NBD Bank Group To assist in the development and implementation of fraud prevention programmes
Detailed Description:
Assist in maintenance of the banks policy on fraud Develop and coordinate implementation and maintenance of fraud prevention processes and programmes across the group Assist in conducting investigations of all suspected and acts of fraud perpetrated against group companies Maintain processes for investigating documenting and reporting on incidents of fraud with effective report writing skills Assist in preparation and conducting of fraud awareness and prevention training and educational programmesManage relationships with regulators judicial and law enforcement authorities on matters of fraud and fraud prevention
Job Requirements:
Propose and maintain initiatives of fraud awareness and prevention across the ENBD 2Assist with investigations of fraud events and fraud prevention reviews across the ENBD
Identify and submit reports on possible operational weaknesses and fraud risks identified during fraud analysis and investigations 2 Prepare and submit comprehensive fraud analysis and investigation reports to the unit head 3 Research analyze and recommend measures to reduce fraud related risks to which business activities are exposed
The maintenance of a methodology that provides efficient FPIS services atbest practice levels 1Assist in the development of comprehensive policies and procedures to support FPI programmes Extract analyse and review data from various sources related to fraud detection 3Propose design and introduce an fraud analytics databaseApply departmentalbest practice standards to all work undertaken 5Maintain processes related to application software to support FPIS work Assist in develop approaches to better identify fraud risks in review work undertaken
Participate and undertake initiatives related to fraud awareness programmes fraud awareness ethics training undertaking fraud prevention reviews and ad hoc investigations
Additional Details:
Relevant professional qualification with a background in investigating financialcorporate frauds with preferable exposure to banking and financial services Minimum 3 years experience in financial services or a forensic accounting or financial audits or similar environment performing financial corporate fraud investigations
