Applications are invited for the position of Junior Technician – Fleet

Position within ASO-Fleet Management

Reports to Assistant Fleet Manager

Location: Dubai International Airport

Category: Catering Operations

Department: Airside Operations Department

Job Purpose:
The jobholder along with the team will execute all activities such as repairs, maintenance work on EKFC fleet 24/7.

Key Result Areas:

• Carry out all scheduled / non- scheduled maintenance services and repairs under the guidance of the concerned supervisor in the most efficient manner.
• Inspect and record all necessary readings on the checklist.
• Ensure proper handling of tools and optimizes use of consumables.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in an efficient, professional and tidy manner before, after and during the job.
• Communicate with supervisor on the work performed and handover jobs that are still pending before the end of the shift.
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE’s) while performing maintenance services.
• Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 International Standards and execute his/her responsibility according to the department work procedures reflecting EKFC Quality Policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Context:
Contributes to the overall output of the relevant team during the shift. Diligently actions all activities instructed during the shift and communicate any issues to seniors on duty. This jobholder may work individually on a task/activity or as a part of a group, depending on dimensions of the specific job on hand. Safety practices should be ensured while executing all maintenance and repair jobs on fleet.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
a)High School Certificate Qualification or equivalent qualification (must have).

b)ITI/ITC (Industrial Training Institute) Certification or equivalent qualification -Trade test certificate (preferred)

Work Experience:
a)Minimum 3 yrs experience in similar role in ground support equipment workshops/organizationsin the field of vehicle /Ground support equipment maintenance

b)Knowledge and working experience on Mechanical, Auto electrical, Vehicle instrumentation, Automobile Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration systems, Tyre maintenance, welding or Fabrication.

Skills:
a)Able to understand written and spoken English.

b)Technical & Analytical Skills

c)Trained in First Aid, Safety/ basic firefighting (preferred).
