What will be my primary responsibilities in this role:

• Strategic planning of the MEA region sales team focus over the short and medium term
• Orders budget planning for the team members by product line
• Organizational review and planning
• Monthly orders forecasting and reporting by product line
• Team leadership and management of ongoing team tactical priorities
• Leading the team to grow and maintain an accurate and up-to-date Salesforce.com funnel and reviewing with company leadership
• Driving the regional execution of goals and initiatives issued by leadership
• Traveling frequently to assist the sales team with customer visits
• Achieve an individual orders plan for your personal territory or accounts
• Early-stage business development of new accounts
• Find and win new customers by presenting technology and convincing them to choose Emerson
• Put customers first and help them solve their challenges across internal supporting functions
• Working with the proposals, sales, application engineers and project services teams to determine the right deal strategy and tactical steps
• Work with proposals and project services teams to develop profitable repeatable offerings within the region
• Enabling and building partnership with other Emerson business units. Identifying synergy growth activities and leading the execution.

What do I need to qualify for this role:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably in either Electrical / Electronics / Control Systems / Chemical / Computer Science / IT)
• Approximately 10 years of experience in a sales role.
• Additional 5 years in a sales leadership, or a small business leadership role, preferably in PLC / SCADA / Motion / EDGE automation.
• Proven ability, effectiveness and track record in selling as well as e xperience in negotiation of terms and conditions of project contracts.
• Competitive awareness and positioning and a working knowledge are required in modern discrete and hybrid automation technology products
• Working knowledge of systems engineering and cabinet construction and design that includes scope of control circuits, electrical, fieldbus networking, ethernet networking, power supplies.
• Working knowledge of project execution stages such as design, commissioning, FAT, SAT etc.
• Working knowledge of high availability / redundancy of PLC / SCADA systems. This includes knowledge of SIL 2 and SIL 3 Fire & Gas systems.
• Working knowledge of IoT, EDGE controller and EDGE gateway solutions.
• Working knowledge of smart factory solutions including OEE solutions and competitive positioning.
• Working knowledge of energy monitoring and energy management products and systems.
• Basic working knowledge of motion control (VFD and servo).
