Emerson Hiring for HSE Specialist Job at Dubai Full Time

We are looking for a competent HSE professional with strong technical HSE skills to lead the HSE function of industrial operations. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring development, implementation, and monitoring of Emerson’s HSE Management system in Dubai Campus of Emerson operations to preserve & promote positive safety culture both for office based and production employees. This role will cover safety responsibilities of various Business Unit’s operations including assembly lines, storage areas, general facilities, and office areas.

Working closely with facilities, BU HSE and Operations teams within Dubai Campus to carry-out crucial HSE activities not limited to inspections, audits, trainings, reporting, monitoring, & coordinating to ensure that entire Dubai campus operations are in conformance/compliance to Emerson’s HSE Management System, ISO standards, OSHA guidelines and to that of local legal requirements.

Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Review and acknowledgement of key HSE requirements for Dubai Campus.
• Be the first point of contact for any HSE related matters of the facility.
• Developing annual HSE activities plan for each BU & facilities operations to meet all the requirements of ISO standards, Emerson’s HSE MS and legal requirements.
• Manages safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company values & programs and federal/state occupational safety regulations.
• Identifies safety hazards and createsimplements recommendations for work process and procedure improvements.
• Performing daily, weekly, & monthly site safety walk-downs across Dubai Campus operations.
• Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving HSE documentation including HSE policies, procedures, processes, training records, monitoring information etc.
• Leading the incident investigation for any hazard, near-miss or incident reported within Dubai Campus using VelocityEHS platform.
• Developing training plan and training matrix for corporate HSE training for Emerson MEA.
• Coordinating with various stakeholders within the organization to obtain the monitoring information and presenting the same to MEA HSE Manager.
• Coordinating with various external stakeholders including training providers, vendors, logistics partners, contractors, customers, and representatives from authorities on all matters relating to Health & Safety.
• Leading Environment Programs for Dubai Campus operations.
• Liaising with BU HSE representatives on day-to-day basis in order to perform technical safety inspections.
• Conducting HSE induction for all new joiners, visitors, customers and executives.
• Leading Dubai HSE Committee meeting by ensuring regular periodic occurrence of such meetings.
• Performing Legal Health & Safety assessment on annual basis for Dubai campus operations.
• Working closely with facilities team to develop SOPs for various facilities operations and to update SOPs on periodic basis.
• Measuring and monitoring HSE performance of the operations as per the set criteria of KPIs and reporting the performance information to line manager on weekly basis.
• Development, implementation, and review of annual HSE Plans to ensure that all targets/objectives are met within stipulated time period.
• Participation in various development projects not limited to waste management, IT SharePoint site development, CSR related activities etc.

What do I need to be considered for this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management or Equivalent
  
• 5+ years’ experience in EHS function within a large manufacturing organization
  
• NEBOSH IGC or similar HSE qualifications
  
• Proven competency with Microsoft Office
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  
• Good analytical/critical thinking
