Role Brief: We are currently working on an Emiratization requirement for a qualified MEP Estimation Engineer. The successful candidate will demonstrate 7+ years of experience in Estimation Engineering with a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Key Responsibilities:Provide guidance on selecting suitable projects for bidding, employing effective strategies, and utilizing various techniques.Generate weekly reports on tender status, emphasizing priority tenders.Delegate estimating tasks, mentor, and offer technical support to estimating engineers and quantity surveyors.Assess proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.Negotiate with major subcontractors/suppliers to secure optimal discounts during the tender stage.Review and finalize project cost estimates prepared by estimation engineers and quantity surveyors for management approval.Collaborate with the main contractor and client teams to develop and finalize value engineering solutions aligning with their budget constraints.Compile technical submission documents from diverse departments.Participate in pre-bid meetings and corporate/client presentations as needed.Create budget sheets for awarded projects.Coordinate with the accounting team to prepare tender fees and bonds.Offer necessary clarifications to the project manager upon project award, addressing contractual rights and remedies considered during tendering.Monitor and document final prices for all suppliers and subcontractors in collaboration with the procurement team.Essential Criteria:7+ years of experience in Estimation EngineeringQualified Electrical or Mechanical EngineerAdept at working on large scale projectsProficient in cost and variance analysisExcellent at data and preparing reports
