Electrical Supervisor Job DescriptionMandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, is seeking a skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical maintenance activities and projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical maintenance team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.Electrical Systems Management: Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and components, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety codes and regulations.Inspections and Assessments: Conduct regular inspections and assessments of electrical systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions, ensuring optimal system performance.Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment, reducing downtime and improving overall system reliability.Project Management: Manage electrical projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring timely completion and within budget.Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and training to electricians and other staff as needed, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support overall facility operations and maintenance, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of electrical work, including maintenance logs, inspections, and repair reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and coordinate with other teams to ensure quick resolution of electrical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.Qualifications and Requirements:Minimum 2 years’ experience in engineering studies such as Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or Building Services.Minimum 2 years’ experience at a Supervisory level or similar.International experience: Middle East experience is an advantage.Hotel Pre-opening experience or renovation experience is an advantage.Experience with Building Automation Systems (i.e. Inn Comm, BMS, etc…) is an advantage.In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and maintenance practices.Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
