Reporting to: Fabrication Manager
Territory: UAE – GCC

Job Overview

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event in the GCC.

Under the guidance of the Fabrication Manager, the Electrical Operations Manager will be requested to oversee the full department operations from preparation until the return of equipment to stock.

Main Accountabilities:

Lead and build a cohesive department: The Electrical Operations Manager will assess every incoming electrical and AC scopes and:

Execute and coordinate:

• Manpower allocation and booking (Team leaders, Electricians and Manpower) on every project
• Daily planning
• Vehicle booking through the Logistics Department (staff and material transportation and site equipment)

Validate and Control:

• Bill of items
• Cabling plans
• Load scheduling and calculations
• Build scope of work
• Derig scope of work
• Purchase requests
  • Promote utilization of existing resources
• Time sheets

Monitor:

• Site daily progress
• Equipment preparation
• Staff and manpower efficiency
• HSE and company policies are respected – site and warehouse:
  • Quality of service
  • Cost allocation per job ID
  • Tools, machinery and equipment of the department

Develop existing practices to gain efficiency and control:

• Info gathering
• Planning
• Preparation
• Install
• Derig

Coordinate:

• Project management team – costing and advise
• Inter-department – planning

HR:

• Perform objectives setting, evaluation and provide feedback
• Provide learning and development to the team

Knowledge & Experience:

5 Years of experience in the Electrical field within the Events or Fit-out Industry

Technical & Functional skills:

• Knowledge on local electrical and HVAC codes
• Electrical installations and schematics
• Excellent communication skills
• Good analytical skills
