Responsibilities
Elderly Care DeliveryProvide high-quality nursing care to elderly clients in their homes, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and management of chronic conditions.
Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, mobility support, and meal preparation.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Monitor and address any changes in clients’ health status, ensuring timely intervention and communication with relevant parties.
Training and Development LeadershipDesign and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing homecare staff on best practices in elderly care, safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct engaging training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Offer ongoing support and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
Documentation and Compliance AssuranceMaintain accurate and detailed client records, including care plans, progress reports, and incident documentation.
Ensure all care practices meet regulatory standards, homecare policies, and industry best practices.
Participate in regular reviews and audits to maintain adherence to quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
Education and CertificationBachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
Valid DHA nursing license.
Certification in geriatric nursing or elderly care is highly preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of experience providing care to the elderly, preferably in a homecare setting.
Experience in training and developing healthcare staff is highly desirable.
Skills and CompetenciesStrong clinical skills with a deep understanding of the unique needs of elderly individuals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and mentor staff.
Ability to work independently and adapt to the dynamic environment of homecare.
Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
