Dubai International Academy, Emirates Hills, one of the leading IB schools in the region, caters to students from KG1 through to Year 13. We offer a rigorous curriculum and rich programme based on holistic student development in a diverse international setting. We were the first accredited IB continuum school in Dubai, and our students follow the Primary Years Programme (PYP) up to Year 6.
The PYP curriculum develops students’ academic, social and emotional wellbeing, focusing on international-mindedness and strong personal values. The PYP nurtures independent learning skills, encouraging every student to take responsibility for their learning.
The programme incorporates local and global issues into the curriculum, asking students to look at six related, transdisciplinary themes and to consider the links between them.
VACANCY: PYP PE Teachers – 2022-2023
Due to expansion, we are s looking for a new member of the Primary PE staff to start in August 2023. The candidate should have experience teaching across the primary school age range. The ability to contribute to our extensive sports program is essential.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably in a PYP school as well as:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or a Bachelor’s Degree and a recognised teaching certification such as PGCE, QTS, Teaching License.
- Relevant IB training
- Knowledge of the IB standards and practices and PYP teaching philosophy
- Outstanding classroom practice
- Excellent communication and technology skills
